S T A L K E R 2 Heart of Chornobyl Cost of Hope v2.0 (upd.20.08.2026) + all DLC - RUNE

The Chornobyl Exclusion Zone grows darker in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl Cost of Hope, a content expansion for the base game. The Zone is already a place of anomalies, mutants, and warring factions, and this addition brings new territory, new threats, and a new story that asks what hope costs in a place where everything has a price.

The expansion builds on the open-world survival shooter formula of the base game. The player returns to the Zone with new objectives, new locations to explore, and new anomalies to navigate. The atmosphere is as thick as ever: the radiation, the artifacts, the invisible dangers, and the human factions that fight over scraps of value in a dead landscape.

The story content adds a new thread to the existing campaign. The title, Cost of Hope, signals a narrative about what people are willing to pay for a chance at something better, and the Zone is the kind of place where hope is a currency that runs out. The player's choices carry weight, and the expansion does not pull punches about the consequences.

The combat and survival mechanics remain the core of the experience. Weapons degrade, ammunition is scarce, and every firefight is a calculation of risk. The mutants are as dangerous as the human enemies, and the anomalies can kill the unwary in an instant. The expansion assumes the player has already learned the rules of the Zone, and it tests that knowledge from the first minute.

The presentation stays true to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. formula: bleak, atmospheric, and beautiful in its decay. The Unreal Engine 5 technology that powers the base game is present here, and the new locations are as detailed and oppressive as the originals.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl Cost of Hope is aimed at players who finished the base campaign and want more of the Zone. The expansion requires the base game, and the Cost of Hope is waiting for those brave enough to seek it.
