Gothic 1 Remake

We've just released a PC patch with some modkit fixes and improvements.

Bugfixes:

• Fixed crash when using a basegame version dependency in mod config.

• Fixed crash when selecting a preview image during Steam Workshop upload.

Improvements:

- AngelScript development server (LSP) is now available to work with the AngelScript VSCode Extension.

With its very first Feature Update, the Gothic 1 Remake adds an extensive Photo Mode to capture the greatest snapshots from the Colony ever. The Photo Mode comes with various options to create iconic images, just the way you’d like your memories to come to life.

On top of that comes the so-called Marvin Mode. Every Gothic fan knows it, but if you are not familiar with the term, it’s the official cheat mode that gives players access to various settings in the game. From simple things like opening that one annoying lock you couldn’t pick to teleporting and spawning items, characters or creatures – with the Marvin Mode, players can make Gothic their own and customize the game exactly to their liking.

To activate it, please press Esc, type MARVIN and Esc again and follow the instructions. To deactivate it, press Esc and type 42.

It’s also time for a visual upgrade: the Nameless Hero can now get a proper haircut and tattoos to make him look even more nameless! To unlock these options, complete a few simple quests for Joru and Baal Namib.

List of changes:

New Features:

• Marvin Mode (Activate using ESC marvin ESC)

• Photo Mode (Activate in the pause menu or with the L key)

• Brotherhood immersion/customization feature (as a member of the Swamp Camp)

• Waiting feature while sitting on a bench

Improvements:

• More sound reactions

• Crafted weapons have improved stats.

• Specific animation for dying in the water by receiving damage

Gameplay fixes:

• Fix a bug which makes equipping two identical rings not work as expected.

• Logic check now includes the items in the player's pouch.

• Fix many location and enemy journal entries that weren't unlocking correctly.

• Fix the bug so Green Goblins have clubs and swords and Goblin Warriors have morning stars.

• Fix a bug which causes Saturas to sell the Water Mages Robe twice.

Quest fixing: Chapter 1:

• Fix for the blocker in the quest "Aaron Chest" if the player solves it in an alternative order.

Chapter 2:

• Fix for Gor Na Dun's reaction in combat during the trial in the quest "The Minecrawler Nest".

Chapter 3:

• Added fallbacks for Lester, Milten and Gorn when the player already has their focus stone before starting the focus quest.

Chapter 4:

• Fix for interaction with golem corpses from all angles.

• Fix for Urshak not appearing in the Ruined Castle after triggering the quest "Find The Orc Shaman".

Chapter 6:

• Mad Kalom's combat behavior, navigation and attacks polished for certain situations.

Издательство THQ Nordic и студия Alkimia Interactive запустили новую скидочную кампанию на Gothic 1 Remake в цифровом магазине Steam в рамках распродажи франшизы Gothic. Впервые с момента релиза ремейк получил скидку 25%, что стало новым рекордом для игры в Steam.

Gothic 1 Remake представляет собой полностью перестроенную на Unreal Engine 5 версию культовой ролевой игры 2001 года. Игрок вновь оказывается в роли Безымянного героя, заключённого в Долине Рудников, окружённой магическим барьером. Разработчики сохранили основные особенности оригинала, включая живой реагирующий мир, соперничающие лагеря, свободу исследования и развитие персонажа, одновременно модернизировав боевую систему и другие элементы игрового процесса.

Ремейк вышел 5 июня 2026 года на ПК, PlayStation 5 и Xbox Series X|S. Аттракцион невиданной щедрости заканчивается 5 ноября.

Alkimia Interactive выпустила второй хотфикс для Gothic 1 Remake (версия 1.0.5), который исправляет один критический баг, связанный с прохождением игры.

Разработчики устранили проблему, из-за которой игра могла зависнуть при входе в покои Королевы ползунов в шахте.

После установки обновления рекомендуется убедиться, что версия клиента соответствует CL 174209.
