In the Tanker chapters, Solid Snake clandestinely infiltrates a covert tanker in pursuit of a groundbreaking nuclear weapon known as Metal Gear. Transitioning to the Plant chapters, Raiden, a member of the new FOXHOUND unit, embarks on a mission to infiltrate an offshore plant that has fallen into the clutches of terrorists. This title introduces novel gameplay mechanics, including the ability to wield weapons from a first-person perspective, hold enemies at gunpoint, and physically manipulate fallen adversaries by grabbing.
