Major 2.0 Update New Cassino campaign, two new factions, weapon handling overhaul, camo system on nearly all vehicles and tons more!Hello again everyone!Today marks the 5th anniversary of Easy Red 2 on Steam, and to celebrate, we’re releasing a massive update! This update concludes a series of improvements that have pushed the game forward in a big way over the past few months. We’re also introducing a brand-new campaign — a complete remake of the old Cassino, previously set as a segment in the old Anzio campaign.  New Features:Complete FPS animation system rework. Reworked TPS vehicle driving camera for smoother gameplay. Added Cassino campaign, with 15 missions total. Added Gebirgsjäger units with uniforms and strapless gear. Added Gewehr 33/40 rifle. Added India and Gurkha factions, along with relevant uniforms, gear, and headgear. Added QF 25-Pounder howitzer. Added Vickers MG emplaced gun. Major rework for M10 Wolverine, 17-Pounder SP Achilles, and M36 Jackson. Major rework for StuGs + many variants added. Reworked Thompson submachine guns, along with adding 4 new variants: M1921, M1928A1 Early, M1928A1 UK, and M1928A1 Early UK Reworked shooting range map visuals. Added Difficulty setting for Mission Editor testing. Added selectable \"visible breath\" option in mission editor for cold weather environments. New official font for menus and UI elements.

Within the roadmap we explain all the biggest features we will attempt to work on in the future months. As always, every future update will also contain a good dose of smaller new features and improvements. You can see the full roadmap post here! Other recently released features We released a lot of stuff during Septembe, like a new AI system for Self propelled artilleries, many new vehicles, new animations and various gameplay changes.We didn\'t have the time to properly discuss them within Steam posts, but you can read trough all the changes recently released in our changelogs post.  New destructible tank tracks system We\'ve made significant changes on the vehicle damage system in order to push it toward a better simulation. Tank tracks and vehicle wheels can now easily be damaged by smaller calibers, making AT guns more useful. Damaged tracks and wheels will show a visual effect and will prevent vehicles from moving until a member of the vehicle crew will exit and repair the part.

Update 1.2.9: New vehicles, uniforms, effects and a new poll for the community! Hi everyone, First of all, here are the latest changes to Easy Red 2: Recent changesNew features:•Added Panzer 38(t).•Added German Tropical uniform.•Added optional ADS blur.•New TPS animations.•Added US pilot helmet.•Added soviet pilot uniform. Fixes:•Improved random camo selection algorithm.•Various fixes in French DLC vehicles.•Improved Japanese uniforms.•Completly reworked UI blur.•Completly reworked depth of Field blur.•Adjustments in several missions.•Several other smaller changes and fixes suggested on the Discord server. Poll about future campaignsWe are also currently running a Poll regarding what campaigns to add during next year! Note:•Typically, we can create assets for new campaigns concurrently with the development of exciting features, like the upcoming AI rework, as my part in coding is distinct from the work of the artists involved in making assets.•Overall, our plan is to create one or a few new free campaigns, starting off in early 2023.•This poll is exclusively about campaigns. Suggestions for features of stuff unrelated to new campaigns will be ignored as they belong to another poll.
