Ahead of the exciting new map (more information coming soon), we’re releasing a small update with a big impact. A brand-new locker system has been added, making it easier to customize your character, alongside presets of the new outfits. This replaces the old system, so you can descend into hell in your favorite outfit faster than ever! 

Devilishly delightful cosmetics: 

In addition, we’re deathly close to Halloween, and our team has been ghoulishly forging some new cosmetics for you all! 

First, we have two brand-new, free skins: the Bag of Frights hairstyle, and the Bone Idle outfit! Every soul will have access to these as soon as you update your game.  

On top of that, we also have a paid “Restless Souls” pack - you can find more details here.

For the next 24 hours, we will be running a giveaway of the Restless Souls pack in our Discord server. It is completely free to enter, just join the server and click a button in the announcements channel! 

We hope you’ll enjoy your warm-up climb with these spooky new outfits ahead of the main event of the new map. 

Patch Notes: 

Customization: 

• Reworked the character customization by adding a new locker system, replacing the old system. These include options for character type, outfit, hair, chain, and presets for new cosmetics. 

• Added two free cosmetic outfits – Bag of Frights and Bone Idle. 

• Added the Restless Souls DLC Pack, which includes: Jiangshi, Pumpkin Pyre, Cultist, and a spooky Spectral Chain. 

Bug Fixes: 

• Fixed a rare desync error in 2v2 Mode. Thanks to Hexenshot for alerting us!

Hello Damned Souls. 

It’s been a few weeks since we returned to hell with our new 2v2 race mode. It’s been amazing to hear all your feedback and see the joy (and chaos) returning to the climb. Today, we’re releasing a small hotfix patch to iron out the kinks and shave any rust on the chains that you have reported... Including returning the mechanics of a certain bouncy apparatus back to its previous form. 

Yes, that’s right – the Trampoline has been tweaked! Please note that this is the first tweak, with more to follow in a future update based on your feedback, so please keep them coming. Additionally, the “super jump” in 2v2 Race Mode is intended behaviour, but should feel more in tune with what you’d expect. 

Please see all the fixes in our Patch Notes below:   

General: 

• Tweaked the trampoline mechanics in relation to how Souls jump individually and as a group to return it to how it once was. 

Race Mode:

• Fixed an issue where Souls became unchained from each other. We can’t have that now, can we? 

• Fixed a momentary server-wide lag-spike after using a teleporter. 

• You can no longer share a car with the opposing team. Even in Hell, rules are rules! 

• Fixed an issue where a Soul’s body could become invisible when interacting with the car. 

• Fixed an issue where moving obstacles could become desynced if one team was a distance behind the opposing team. 

• Removed the ‘nearest safe location’ pop-up. Nowhere is safe! 

Thank you once again for all your support in this new chapter of Chained Together. We can’t wait to reveal more about the things we’re forging... It’s going to be devilishly chaotic!
