Hey Drivers!

Today we’re releasing Patch 1.5.1, bringing the Brakes Update along with some fixes for memory leaks.

We know some of you really hated how strong the brakes were, so we decided to take another look at them and see what we could do. Ta-daa! Here they are.

We’ve had a few community testers try out the new brakes, and they gave them a thumbs up. Even Xarrek approved it! They should feel better now and give you more braking distance than before. We hope you’ll like them too and feel the difference, especially when braking and drifting with fastest cars.

Keep in mind that you’ll probably need a few runs to get used to the new braking behavior. Your muscle memory might need a little reset.

We’ve also spent some time looking into one of the biggest issues reported by players - memory leaks. This one was particularly annoying because the reports were quite vague at first, and the actual source of the leaks wasn’t easy to identify. It took us a while, but we finally managed to track down the leaking spots and fix them.

Oh, and one more thing: You can now do a 360° spin with the fastest cars.

FYI: Today we are releasing this patch only for PC players. Consoles will receive separate patch at different date. Please stay tuned.

We’re happy to announce that #DRIVE Rally is officially available to play on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch! We’ve also rolled out a brand-new update for PC and iOS players, which will be coming to consoles in mid-July! Check out what's new below!

Patch Notes v1.4.8

• Engine Upgrade: #DRIVE Rally has officially migrated from Unity 2022 to Unity 6 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and iOS.

• Performance Boosts: Enjoy faster game loading times and improved FPS across the board, courtesy of the Unity 6 engine upgrade.

• Visual & Camera Refinements thanks to Unity 6 update:

• Improved Motion Blur when using the Behind Car camera.

• Improved sway movement when using Behind Car camera.

• Improved Depth of Field blur in Photo Mode.

Vehicle Overhauls: Added brand-new visual suspension elements to every single car.

• Updated all car wheels to match the new suspension geometry.

New Content: Added 3 legendary new cars: The Beep 1964, The Bender 1981, and The Bonnie 1975.

Economy rebalance: Reduced the amount of currency being rewarded from Quick Race and Championships.

Unity 6 Engine Upgrade

To match current gen consoles #DRIVE Rally is getting engine update from Unity 2022 to Unity 6.

⚠️ Consoles Update ⚠️

Note on Console Release version: #DRIVE Rally for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch is released under version 1.3.17 update to 1.4.8 is going to be released in mid-July. Engine upgrade itself is exclusive to PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and iOS. To ensure stability, the Nintendo Switch 1 version of #DRIVE Rally will remain on Unity 2022.

Windows 7 players

We hear that some of you have issues with playing #DRIVE Rally Unity 6 update on Windows 7 (and older). That's why we have prepared special game branch for you.

To play #DRIVE Rally on Windows 7, please follow these steps:

• Open Steam

• Right-click on #DRIVE Rally in your library

• Select Properties

• Go to the "Game Versions & Betas" tab

• Choose "win7" from the game versions list

• Wait for the game to update the files (if nothing happens, restart the Steam client)

• Launch the game
