Overthrown

Overthrown is an indie strategy simulation game developed by Brimstone that puts you in the shoes of a monarch wielding a magical soul-stealing crown. Set in a dangerous wilderness, you must found and protect your kingdom from mutants and bandits. The game offers a unique combination of kingdom building, resource management, and action-packed combat. As you build your kingdom, you’ll construct buildings, collect resources, and farm. The crown’s powers allow for innovative gameplay mechanics, such as lifting and throwing entire buildings or trees.

Combat is fast-paced, and the player can perform superhuman feats, such as running on water or spinning like a helicopter. The game features survival elements: you manage resources as the seasons change, protect your crops from mutants, and keep your subjects happy. Environmental factors also play a role: pollution can render the land barren. Overthrown supports both single-player and online co-op for up to six players, allowing you to build and defend your kingdom alone or with friends. With a combination of strategic depth and quirky action, the game offers a fresh take on the kingdom-building genre.
