OHV puts gamers in the shoes of a young villager struggling to cope with the challenges of life in 1990s Poland. The setting, characterized by rural roads and economic hardships, offers an insight into the daily routine of a simpler, yet demanding era. Players are immersed in the life of a boy who loves to tinker with cars and spends countless evenings working in his garage. The game combines car mechanics and life simulation, allowing players to explore both the technical intricacies of car restoration and the nuances of everyday chores. This connection between simplicity, survival, and hands-on creativity gives OHV a unique narrative. The dynamic vehicle creation system is one of the game’s most striking features.
Players can immerse themselves in creating their own buggies, cutting, welding, and joining car components to construct a versatile SAM vehicle. You need to choose the right suspension, install the brakes, tune the chassis, and assemble the perfect setup. Experimentation is encouraged, and every choice affects the performance of the final vehicle. Every pipe welded and every adjustment made adds a new level of interaction, allowing players to bring their mechanical ideas to life. The title gives the satisfaction of seeing the raw design take shape with every step.
