Aloft

Aloft is an atmospheric indie sandbox game where you explore a setting of islands engulfed by an eternal hurricane. This is a project where you can create your own adventure and determine your destiny. Here you start with a small island that you can develop and expand with different structures and items. You can also create sails for your island and use them to move along the winds, opening up new locations with different biomes, resources, and secrets. Along the way, you will encounter fungal corruption — a mysterious force that threatens to swallow the land and everything on it. You will have to fight it and cleanse the places with special tools and weapons.

As you explore Aloft, you will find that the title offers a unique mixture of exploration, survival, and creativity. The freedom to choose the island design and adapt to the ever-changing weather conditions makes the gameplay exciting. The constant fight against fungi adds tension and complexity to the game. One of the game’s distinctive features is its dynamic weather system. A constantly occurring hurricane forces users to strategize how to place and protect their home. It’s a refreshing twist on the traditional survival game formula, where the environment itself becomes a formidable opponent. The video game also encourages interaction between users: you can team up with friends to fight corruption together, or compete to see who can build the most impressive island.
