Dawnfolk is an accessible indie strategy game with city-building elements, set in a medieval fantasy world engulfed by darkness. As the ruler of a fallen kingdom, you discover Luer, a mythical creature of light that will become crucial in your quest to reclaim your kingdom from the mysterious obsidian monoliths that brought darkness to the world. The game combines city management and survival elements, where you will go from basic settlement construction to creating thriving cities, managing resources and facing various challenges. Interactive mini-games directly affect the efficiency of resource gathering and the chances of your community’s survival.

Dawnfolk is a distinctive «pick and play» approach to the strategy genre, allowing players to build significant settlements within an hour, without requiring a lengthy learning curve. The game features a unique 64×64 pixel art style, easy-to-use controls across multiple platforms (gamepad, keyboard, handheld), and gameplay that encourages exploration and experimentation. The narrative unfolds through meaningful choices that shape the fate of your kingdom and your legacy as a ruler, as you work toward the ultimate goal of restoring light to a world engulfed in darkness.
