Ninja Brigade feat Jonah Weingarten

Ninja Brigade feat Jonah Weingarten is a 2D Metroidvania action platformer developed by Impawsible Games that combines action and adventure elements in a unique setting. The story follows musician Jonah Weingarten, who is mysteriously sucked into an arcade game and becomes the protagonist in an ancient Japanese world. Players move through a variety of locations, including Edojo Castle, dark caves, ominous cemeteries, and eventually Hell itself.

The game’s signature feature is «onification» — demonic energy that corrupts the world, but at the same time gives Jonah special «oni» abilities that complement his ninja abilities. Combat is dynamic and requires the player to balance the agility of the ninja and the strength of the oni in order to defeat various enemies — yokai. Each region culminates in a challenging boss fight that, when defeated, allows you to steal their powers, creating an interesting progression system as you progress through the game and Jonah returns to reality.
