Wizdom Academy places the player in the role of a director responsible for the construction and operation of a school for wizards. The process begins with constructing the school’s buildings, laying the foundation for learning. A key objective is to attract people as students, as well as recruit staff to teach at the academy, shaping the school’s makeup from the ground up. The initial construction phase sets the stage for future expansion and specialization.

Management tasks in Wizdom Academy extend well beyond simple construction, focusing on monitoring student progress and interacting with staff. Interacting with students and teachers allows you to learn their backstories and personalities as they progress through their studies. This game includes goals related to meeting the demands of the board of trustees and learning the mysteries surrounding the institution itself. The personal growth of the students is directly tied to the time and consistency of their studies within the institution, which affects their abilities and traits in the future.

Inventory control is built around Mana, an element needed for many school processes, the amount of which constantly changes during the course of the game. It is necessary to actively collect this resource, come up with ways to store it, and carefully distribute it to ensure the operation of the various academy systems and for magic. The gameplay offers situations with Mana shortages, requiring the leader to take thoughtful actions and carefully manage to survive periods of shortage. Strategic decisions become necessary when faced with a lack of resources and other difficulties in the life of the academy.
