Trench Tales

Trench Tales is an indie action-adventure game from Talking Drums that immerses players in a gothic, war-torn world of Verdun during an alternate era of World War I. You play as a lone warrior summoned by mysterious forces who must discover the reason for your presence and find a way home. The game features tactical combat where survival depends on strategic decision-making, exploiting cover, and exploiting enemy weaknesses. Players can use supernatural abilities such as time manipulation, energy blasts, healing, and wall-penetrating vision, and customize a diverse arsenal of weapons with modifications to barrels, stocks, scopes, and grips for different combat situations.

As you navigate a variety of environments, from claustrophobic trenches to majestic castles and foggy swamps, you’ll encounter undead soldiers and powerful warlords in a risk-return system where death has consequences. The narrative gradually unfolds, blurring the lines between reality and illusion as you uncover the dark secrets of this mysterious world.
