Описание
Paddle Paddle Paddle places players in a boat on an adventure through a lava-filled world. Players can go it alone, controlling both paddles, or join a co-op mode, where each player is responsible for one paddle. The core mechanic is to navigate a parkour course, and falling is a constant and expected part of the gameplay. Progress is built on trial and error, and the design itself is aimed at provoking strong emotional reactions.
This gameplay tests endurance and provokes loud cheers as you maneuver the boat. The long journey consists of navigating a single large level with physically correct control of the vessel. The co-op mode in Paddle Paddle Paddle places a premium on coordination between two people, as synchronized paddling is crucial. The environment is filled with obstacles, including swinging axes, gusts of wind, and steep slopes that impede forward movement.
Individual jumps are designed to require multiple consecutive attempts, directly testing teamwork skills. This structure is designed to test the gamer's mettle through precision and teamwork under stress. At the end of the journey, a reward awaits, described as legendary and likely of no practical value. The game allows for players to abandon the game due to intense frustration, imagining this outcome as part of the design. A number of settings are provided to adjust the difficulty. Checkpoints can be enabled or disabled on a single level, key bindings can be changed, and progress can be tracked using a speedrun timer.
