Space Adventure Cobra The Awakening is an action platformer from Magic Pockets that brings the legendary space pirate to modern gaming platforms for the first time. You play as Cobra, along with his loyal android partner Lady Armaroid, armed with the iconic Psychogun, to uncover a mystery that threatens the universe. The plot follows the first 12 episodes of the anime series, centering on the rescue of three mysterious sisters whose fate is tied to treasure hunted by the dangerous Space Pirate Guild.
The gameplay consists of platforming challenges on exotic alien worlds filled with deadly traps and obstacles that test your reflexes and timing. Cobra's arsenal includes his signature Psychogun, a Colt Python 77, as well as unique gadgets such as a grappling hook and gun-toting cigars for creative combat solutions. You'll encounter memorable characters from the series, including the Royal Sisters and Cobra's arch-nemesis Crystal Bowie, as well as formidable bosses that require strategic use of your entire arsenal.
The game features three difficulty levels, catering to both genre veterans looking for a serious challenge and newcomers looking to get through the story without unnecessary frustration. A two-player co-op mode adds cooperative gameplay, allowing you to escape enemies together. The developers have stayed true to the anime's signature mix of action and humor, capturing the spirit that made the original series a fan favorite.
