Outbreak Island is an intense Open World Sandbox Survival Horror experience that blends Action and Simulation with deep narrative elements. You arrive on Erlsen Island, a remote location once used for secret experiments, prompted by a cryptic message from your missing father. Cut off from the outside world, you must investigate the truth behind a mysterious Outbreak that awakens bloodthirsty mutated creatures when night falls. The story driven Adventure requires you to adopt the role of a detective, using a camera to collect clues and evidence while managing the brutal realities of survival.

During the day, the island is your hunting ground. You must scavenge for essential resources like food, fuel, medicine, and ammunition, navigating the vast and perilous landscape. The RPG progression allows you to unlock new skills, craft better equipment, and modify your weapons at dedicated workbenches. Your primary refuge is your father’s abandoned farm, which serves as your base. You’ll need to restore, fortify, and upgrade this location, turning it into a reliable safe haven by building defenses and growing supplies. Your vehicle is also a key ally, essential for hauling large quantities of materials and exploring distant points of interest, provided you keep it fueled and maintained.

The entire Simulation changes when the sun sets. A strange mystical beam appears, reactivating abandoned machinery which, while offering unique opportunities to refuel or access sealed bunkers, also awakens the monstrous creatures. Preparing for and defending against these nightly raids is paramount to staying alive. This Early Access title, developed by Tiny Magicians, offers roughly one third of the full island to explore, introducing core systems like basic farming, fishing, and woodworking.
