This led to a collapse of the economy and technological development around the world, but it was considered a price worth paying to avoid a catastrophe.The story of Whispers of a Machine begins decades after the event. We play the role of a woman named Vera, who works as an investigator at a federal security agency. She is sent to the small town of Nordsund with a mission to investigate a series of mysterious murders. Thus, the heroine finds herself in the middle of a secret war between people who are afraid of technology and religious fanatics who want to arouse curiosity, who believe that AI can be the only true deity in the world that faith will long ago quit.
