CARNEDGE is a dark, roguelike RPG with card strategy elements, featuring a combat system based on automated battles. The outcome of battles depends entirely on the protagonist's preparation and the combination of abilities, equipment, and relics they create. Character creation resembles the creation of a unique ruleset, which is then tested against opponents. Status effects play a key role in battles, triggering chaotic yet spectacular interactions: enemies can be frozen, set on fire, or completely melted, while the hero and their summoned allies exterminate the creatures of darkness.

The narrative centers on the ritual pilgrimage of a lone warrior. Their task is to carry the Lantern of the Eternal Flame across dying lands to a distant beacon to preserve the last spark of hope. Progression across CARNEDGE global map is fraught with constant pressure from the spreading corruption, introducing a race against time. Choosing a path through story nodes, side quests, and boss fights becomes a strategic task that directly impacts the hero's development. Death does not mean final failure, because as long as the lantern burns, the journey can be restarted.

Deep character customization:

• Unbreakable Tank – a specialization focused on survivability and absorbing the brunt of damage.
• Summoner – an archetype that relies on creating an entire army of creatures to control the battlefield.
• Hybrid classes – the ability to combine various cards and artifacts to create unique builds.
• Equipment visualization – over 300 hand-drawn items are displayed on the hero model during battle.
