Tombwater is a hardcore action RPG set in the Wild West, whose combat mechanics rely on precise timing and careful resource management. Top-down pixel graphics lend a haunting retro aesthetic. Players can choose from seven unique specializations, each defining their approach to vanquishing Lovecraftian monsters. The arsenal boasts over 50 weapon variants, allowing players to combine cavalry sabers, heavy pickaxes, and shotguns with incendiary charges. Magical potential is unlocked through 20 spells, and the alchemy system allows for the creation of explosives on the fly. Encounters with 20 terrifying bosses require maximum concentration, but the incorporation of enemy stagger significantly expands tactical horizons. For those seeking a less grueling experience, special settings are available that eliminate the need for lengthy return trips to the scene of death. This spiritual successor to the Yarntown project will take approximately 25 hours to complete.

About This Game

Tombwater plot revolves around a lone gunslinger's arrival in a cursed settlement to search for a missing comrade. The once-thriving region is now consumed by total madness. The surviving inhabitants are desperately trying to hide the true causes of the silver mine disaster and the sheriff's sudden disappearance. Prolonged exposure to the contaminated zone inevitably threatens the protagonist with sanity. Exploring the global map is entirely based on classic Metroidvania elements. Progress through the storyline and completing missions from strange characters you encounter is tracked using a convenient built-in journal. The non-linear structure allows for free movement through a variety of contrasting biomes. The expansive geography of the fictional universe conceals numerous secret areas.
