Oceaners is a survival and colony-building simulator from Barrel Smash Studios that puts you in charge of survivors stranded on a flooded world dotted with floating islands. You must harvest resources, transport floating islands back to your base using Float-Tech devices, and build a self-sufficient settlement while managing food, water, and waste disposal. The game lets you control multiple characters with unique skills and traits, sending them on raft expeditions to discover new biomes, blueprints, and story-related items across the sea. Combat threats ranging from weather events to aggressive wildlife like sharks, crabs, and resource-stealing seagulls while fortifying your structures and rafts. Research plays a central role, thanks to an extensive tech tree that includes primitive devices and the mysterious Float-Tech technology from a corporation that existed before the flood.

Exploration extends to island bunkers that conceal corporate secrets and fragments of a larger narrative about the fate of the world. You'll directly control survivors or automate tasks, customize their appearance down to their facial hair, and design specialized rafts to meet the expedition's diverse needs. The combination of base building, resource management, and narrative exploration creates a survival experience in which every decision impacts your colony's chances against rising waters. Success depends on balancing immediate survival needs with long-term technological advancement in this flooded world.
