Tides of Tomorrow is an indie adventure game from Digixart set on a flooded ocean planet ravaged by "Plastemia," a deadly disease threatening all life. You play as Tidewalker, navigating a world on the brink of collapse, caught between three factions: the Marauders, who monopolize medicine and trade; the ordinary Reclaimers, struggling for survival; and the past-worshipping Mystics. The game's key feature is the Online Story Link system, which lets you choose the path of a friend, streamer, developer, or stranger, with their previous decisions directly impacting your experience. Levels, NPCs, and story choices change depending on which Story-Link you choose, meaning each playthrough can look and feel completely different.
You'll encounter echoes ghostly traces of other players' actions and choices that constantly remind you of the Tidwalkers who came before you. Although the game is single-player, this system ensures you're never truly alone as you sail between floating islands, gather resources, and make your own decisions. Your decisions will have consequences, influencing the experiences of future players and creating a unique shared narrative. The game combines exploration and resource management as you navigate uncertain waters and diverse landscapes, deciding whether to restore this dying world or wreak further havoc.
