Kugayama Shioris Death Diary pulls you into the chilling pages of a journal that should not exist. Developed and published by Laplacian for release in 2026 this adventure casual visual novel text based horror game places you in the role of a friend who discovers the diary of Kugayama Shiori a quiet classmate. The diary entries start normal. They describe school life crushes and everyday worries. But as you read further the entries become darker. Shiori begins writing about deaths that have not happened yet. Then they happen. You must decide how much to read how much to share and whether you can change the future.
The latest version of the game features a branching narrative where your reading choices affect the ending. Visual novel sequences are accompanied by hand drawn character art and subtle atmospheric effects. Text based sections allow you to explore the diary at your own pace clicking on footnotes and margin notes that reveal hidden layers. Horror is psychological and grounded. No jump scares. Just the creeping dread of knowing what comes next. Adventure elements involve investigating real locations from the diary to confirm or deny Shiori predictions. For fans of Corpse Party and Doki Doki Literature Club you can download the game on PC and Nintendo Switch.
