The plot centers on humanity's struggle against an aggressive life form bent on the total annihilation of Earth's civilization. Pilots pilot a modernized R-9 fighter equipped with an energy device called the Force. The main campaign offers seamless transitions between chapters, allowing players to cover the entire distance from the initial encounter to the decisive counterattack without pause. The game recreates the atmosphere of the original, complementing it with modern technical solutions and an expanded soundtrack. The central feature of the remaster is the Music Encore mode, where the sound design has been completely reworked using authentic chips to achieve a portable aesthetic.
