Romestead

Romestead is a survival adventure RPG from Beartwigs where you must rebuild civilization after the fall of Rome while fending off undead hordes at night. The game supports 1 to 8 players in a procedurally generated world filled with meticulously crafted dungeons, secrets, and combat challenges. You'll progress through various biomes, gathering resources, crafting equipment, defeating bosses, and restoring Roman gods through offerings and sacrifices to unlock new technologies and buffs. A physical resource system challenges you to manually carry, throw, or cart heavy materials like wood and stone useful for hauling supplies or hurling boulders at enemies.

Players can build and expand settlements by recruiting survivors as artisans, managing happiness, and establishing trade routes between specialized towns in different biomes. The combat system and character customizations accommodate a variety of playstyles, including melee, ranged, magic, farming, construction, and exploration. Co-op groups can specialize, with some players focusing on combat, while others focus on resource gathering, crafting, automation, or settlement management. Difficulty varies depending on the number of players, though the game is officially designed for eight players. Dungeons range from quick combat encounters to challenging, puzzle-filled adventures that reward gear, decorations, and recruitable survivors.
