Kotodama The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa

Kotodama 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa is a combination of a visual adventure novel and a three-in-a-line game. The game was developed by the Japanese studio Art Co., known for creating UnRained Blades jRPG, released on the consoles Nintendo DS and PSP. At the beginning of the game, players choose the gender of their hero, who, as a first-grader, begins training at the Fujisawa Academy. It would seem that an ordinary school hides many secrets, as a result of which a legend was created about the seven dangerous secrets hidden by the institution.

Shortly after the first lessons began, players join a supernatural club, the purpose of which is to uncover the truth about all seven secrets of the academy. The demonic fox, with whom the players enter into a contract, will help them in this mission, gaining the power of Kotodama, the power of words, allowing players to find the necessary clues. The story is divided into seven chapters and offers several different endings.

The gameplay in Kotodama 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa is divided into two segments. The first is a classic visual novel in which players read the subsequent chapters of the story, enriched with static illustrations and portraits of characters. The second is the logical mode that visualizes the Kotodama forces that we use. When players meet a character who may know something about one of the seven secrets of the school, they send him to the magic interrogation room, trying to get hints and information from him that they need.

In logical mode, the screen is divided into two parts. On the left there is a colorful puzzle. Players must combine at least three blocks that have the same color. Thus, they increase the level of satisfaction of their opponent. In order not to lose your enemy, you need to fill it to the appropriate level for a limited number of moves. On the right side you can see the silhouette of the interviewed hero. Each time a combo is built, he loses another part of his wardrobe, which is a sign that players are getting closer to getting another clue. After completing the puzzle, you can repeat it many times using the special option in the game menu.
