Graphite

Graphite is a stylized indie RPG in the roguelike genre from RipRed, the action of which unfolds on the pages of a notebook in a line belonging to a boy experiencing grief and growing up. You control seven pencil-drawn heroes who have been summoned by a mysterious character named The Scribe who is actually that boy to prepare for their inevitable demise. The heroes sincerely believe in their mission, not suspecting that they are just sketches born of a child's imagination. Story choices are revealed through a tarot-inspired set of voiced event cards, where past decisions, items, and your current team composition determine your path.

The battles use a dynamic combat system based on a time scale, where synchronization is more important than strength, and each action takes time. You have to guess the intentions of the enemy and use the Break system to interrupt the actions of enemies, delaying their moves on the timeline. In the course of procedurally generated gameplay, you collect powerful artifacts without any restrictions on the amount, which allows you to create chaotic synergistic combinations. However, the battles represent a tactical confrontation, since the enemies evolve during the passage and can pick up artifacts themselves. Controlling all seven heroes, you reveal their unique personalities, interconnected paths, and the deeper truth hidden behind their world.
