A tornado took everything the village had. What it could not take is the stubbornness to rebuild it. Mazey Village is a cozy open world adventure from Slappy Inc., developed and published by the studio, about recovering what was lost and bringing life back to a place that refuses to stay forgotten.

After the storm, homes lie in ruins and villagers are separated from their precious belongings. The work starts at the edge of town, where winding paths form mazes that lead out into peaceful forests, snowy roads, forgotten ruins and hidden corners full of small stories. Every region holds lost items, friendly creatures and tiny critters waiting to be discovered, and the journal map fills in with every explored route until the world starts to feel like yours.

The journey keeps the hands pleasantly busy. Puzzles built from levers, lights, weights, portals and rotating paths set the tone: clever enough to feel earned, gentle enough to never break the mood. Between them sits everything that makes a world feel lived in, from fishing and wandering to catching adorable critters and petting whatever cats have the sense to show up.

Everything you recover flows back into the village. Homes get rebuilt, interiors and outdoor spaces get decorated freely, and tiles and paths can be edited to shape the layout of the town. Shops stock furniture and decorations, every restored house welcomes a villager back in, and the community grows again around your choices, making the village your own creation in the truest sense.

The world stays warm in the details. Small heartwarming interactions make the place feel alive, and the game never hurries anyone: exploring at your own pace is the intended way to play, and the story moves exactly when you do.
