The most honest office worker in gaming is an invertebrate. Worming from Home is a remote work simulator where the player is literally a worm, and it comes from developer and publisher Zach Northrop. The game treats corporate life with a completely straight face, which is exactly what makes it funny. The absurdity of the premise is the whole point, and the game runs with it.

The job is junior financial analyst, and the workday is a spectacle. The worm flings its spineless body across the keyboard to answer messages and fill out spreadsheets. Ragdoll physics send it flying across the desk like a real life worm, and slamming its head against the keys counts as convincing the boss that work is being done. Nothing about the office makes sense, and that is the entire joke. Sometimes the phone rings, and answering it is optional but recommended. The worm earns money, buys upgrades, and builds a career that no one outside the screen would believe.

Career growth follows the usual corporate logic, only stranger. The worm upgrades, invests, and works toward a promotion. It can also use insider information to illegally manipulate the stock market, because apparently that too is part of the job. The economy is as broken as the spine, and the market manipulation is the closest thing to honesty the worm ever gets. Every step up the ladder is measured in wiggles and dollars.

The game is short, odd, and unapologetically strange. It asks the player to accept its premise at face value, and those who do will find a comedy inside a spreadsheet. Worming from Home arrived on 04 September 2026 and is aimed at players who like management games, physics chaos, and jokes that never explain themselves. It is just like any corporate job, only the employee has no spine.
