Moons of Madness — is a first-person horror story about astronaut Shane Newhart. He, as part of a small team, was sent to the research station Trailblazer Alpha, located on the surface of Mars. Their goal is the creation of the first cosmic settlement outside the Earth and the search for intelligent life comparable to human genius. In the course of the plot, the main character gradually plunges into the gloom and paranoia caused by life on an alien, lifeless planet. Also, the hero begins to notice the machinations of paranormal activity affecting his sanity and attitude to the main mission. All this leads to the fact that we discover a certain substance that can tear the fabric of reality and, if it is not stopped, the end of humanity will come before people destroy themselves.

About This Game

As often happens, the developers of the project were inspired by the original horror described in the books of Howard Lovecraft. The hero is isolated from the usual environment, he has no chance to escape, and the life of billions depends on his decisions. To enhance fear, a visual performance is required, where the enemy does not have a single form, thereby acting on the nerves of the gamer through a virtual avatar.

Wanting to reveal more the topic of fear, the ideas of cosmism and the development of personality were touched upon, comparing it with the development of the space of the galaxy. Sheine Newhart is gradually beginning to doubt his origin and the goal set for him, which provokes an internal conflict of the character of the protagonist.

The project is of key interest due to its vast locations rich in unexpected and sometimes frightening discoveries. Only the brave and resourceful can survive in this welter, because no one will lead you by the handle, which fully allows you to enjoy the hopeless and depressing atmosphere of the boundless expanse of Martian soil under feet.
