Through the Darkest of Times — turn-based strategy, we will fall during the reign of the Third Reich. We play as the leader of the rebel movement against the rule of Nazism. The main character Through the Darkest of Times, this is not a real figure in history, but an invented, elaborate character. In the game, we must weaken the rule of the Third Reich and, finally, bring it to the end. Each of the four periods is a separate chapter, which shows the history of the struggle of the Germans with the Nazis from the beginning of their reign in 1933 to its end in 1945. As a leader, we recruit new members and assign tasks to them, as well as make very complex decisions.

About This Game

Historical strategy with elements of a management simulator. You have to become the leader of the resistance group in Berlin during the Third Reich. The game covers the time period from the seizure of power by Hitler in 1933 to the unconditional surrender of Germany in 1945. You will plan the actions of your group, while trying to maintain the morale of your members, to obtain the resources necessary for action, and to avoid detection by the authorities.

Through the Darkest of Times — this is a strategic resource management game from Paintbucket Games in which you attract people to resistance in Nazi Germany to perform various tasks outlined on the map. This may be the collection of donations, the distribution of leaflets, participation in public protests or almost anything that could undermine the Nazi regime.

This is a pretty complicated game through the darkest of times. A heading so thoroughly based on such a turbulent history will always be, but a title that achieves so much in this setting is all the more so. Each turn in the game lasts a week, and between them you get a selection of newspaper headlines in which you will find out what happens during Hitler’s rule.
