Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered

Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered — is an updated version of the 2004 3D platformer that tells the story of the adventures of Gallic warriors and is based on the popular comic book series. Unlike the original game developed by Etranges Libellules, the remaster was produced by OSome Studio under the direction of Microids. Similarly, they have updated other games from the Asterix & Obelix XXL series earlier. The game begins with Asterix and Obelix returning to the village after a successful day of boar hunting. But their family home caught fire, and their friends went missing. The heroes learn that it was the army of the Roman Empire, and decide to go with their faithful dog Idfix to help the kidnapped villagers, visiting Gaul, Egypt, Greece or Rome itself.

Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered — is a classic 3D platformer whose main goal is to explore vast levels and fight the Romans. The game also includes various arcade sequences and environmental puzzles, solving which allows the heroes to unlock access to other parts of the game. The developers have improved the mechanics, adapting it to modern standards and adding two new game modes. Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered offers vastly improved visual customization over the original. Higher resolutions, improved character models, new animations or more detailed locations are just some of the changes the remaster has made. In addition, the developer has improved the camera and controls and added the ability to switch between new and old graphics. Attention has also been paid to preserving the original voices of the characters.
