Nioh 2 The Complete Edition — is the second installment of the soulslik style game series that was released in 2017. The authors of the first part of the series, Team Ninja, are responsible for the creation of this series. The game takes us on a journey to an alternate version of Japan from the Sengoku period, known from the first part of the series, where we look at the world from the 15th and 16th centuries. In addition to the wars that the Land of the Rising Sun plunges into, the yokai, that is, demons and monsters taken straight from mythology, also pose a danger to its inhabitants. The game was set before the events of the previous part of the series, and during the game we play the role of a hero or heroine who, as a half-human, half-yokai.

About This Game

In Nioh 2 The Complete Edition, the developers have developed ideas from the previous part, and also presented some completely new solutions. The first of the latter is the pre-actual gameplay character creation, which includes gender selection and extensive customization options. Observing the action from a third-person perspective TPP, during the game we are mainly dealing with fighting opponents. Apart from other samurai or minor yokai, there will be powerful bosses on our way. The game is characterized by a high level of difficulty, which increases significantly when demons pull us into the so-called Dark Realm the place where they come from. Although the opponents are stronger there, the game is worth the candle because we get much better rewards for their victory.

We destroy opponents using mainly melee weapons. Three combat units are returning to the game, that is, high, medium and low, and during collisions we must carefully observe the movements of enemies, use fast evasions and conduct counterattacks. An important new feature is the ability to transform into a demon, which makes the hero stronger and more resistant to damage. As we progress, we gain experience points and advance to the next levels, developing the fighting skills of the main character. In addition, we are increasing its combat potential by acquiring better and better equipment. Defeated demons leave behind so-called Soul Cores, which are used to expand the range of attacks available in demon form.
