Insurmountable

Insurmountable — is a roguelike adventure game with survival elements. The game was developed by the independent German studio ByteRockers Games. In Insurmountable, we play the role of a climber who must climb three increasingly higher and more difficult peaks, conquering them one after another. The authors give us three characters, differing in their skills and the story that led them to this place. In Insurmountable, we observe third person action (TPP). Before setting off, you need to look at the mountain we are going to climb and determine the best route to its top. To complicate matters, if we die en route, we have no choice but to restart the expedition. Since the peaks are procedurally generated, each climb looks different and requires a different challenge.

About This Game

During the journey, we have to take the hero through fields of ice blocks and huge stones or overcome vertical stone walls. As if that weren’t enough, along the way the weather and the ruthless flow of time may not turn out to be very kind to him the game has variable weather conditions and a daily cycle, and even wild, aggressive and hungry animals. In addition, as we progress, we develop our character and discover new skills that make climbing easier. Insurmountable graphics look decent. Most of all like the various mountain landscapes, and the view from the top usually rewards us for the hardships of the ascent unless we decide to attack the mountain during a blizzard.
