Players take on the role of a Japanese high school student who is about to graduate from high school. The protagonist spent half the summer working hard after school to earn the money he needed to hit on one of his classmates.

Dokyusei Bangin Summer takes place over three weeks. During this time, the player can try to win the heart of one of the fourteen girls. Each of these girls has a unique backstory and personality, offering their own story. The game belongs to a genre called dating sim. That is, it combines the mechanics of a visual novel adventure game, in which we follow the plot and make decisions at key moments, with elements of a light sim that reflects the daily life of the protagonist and influences his relationships with other characters.

The player must carefully manage his time, visit the right places in the city and learn about the desires, secrets and preferences of the chosen ones in order to make them fall in love with him. Dokyusei Bangin Summer has a single-player mode only. As befits a remake, Dokyusei Bangin Summer features a brand new audiovisual design. Pixelated images have been replaced with high resolution graphics. Added character soundtrack that was missing from the original. The developers have also made additional changes to the interface to make the gameplay easier. The game is available in two versions. The Steam version is devoid of erotic scenes. On the other hand, the uncensored edition has become available on the Johren service.
