Matchpoint Tennis Championships — is a realistic tennis game developed by Australian studio Torus Games. The game was published by Kalypso Media, which is responsible for games such as Port Royale 4 and Tropico 6. In the game, we can meet on the court with real stars of this sport such as Daniil Medvedev, Kei Nishikori or Garbin Muguruza, as well as use professional equipment from well-known brands such as Babolat, Yonex or HEAD. At the beginning of the game, we create our player in addition to appearance and clothes, we can set such details as left-handed and right-handed, two- or one-handed backhand.
In career mode, we climb up the rankings by participating in fictional tournaments around the world. During the match, in addition to our skills, it is important to choose the right technique: flat kick, forehead or slide. The gameplay is complemented by realistic and dynamic physics that allows you to control the rotation, speed and bend of the ball, and also ensures the smooth movement of the player, which makes every match unique. We can improve our skills, such as strength, agility or backhand, together with a hired coach or with the help of mini-games. It also helps to gain an advantage by learning about the style of the opponent and the court whose surface grass, dirt or hard ground greatly influences the dynamics of the match. Matches can be recorded, viewed and analyzed to hone tactics.
