History

The sprawling Republic of Calvard is experiencing an unprecedented economic boom brought on by post-war reparations. At the same time, there is a widespread sense of insecurity associated with the massive influx of immigrants and the bold political reform of the new president. Deep in its capital, a young upstart named Wang receives a strange request that threatens to plunge the entire nation into chaos.

Prologue

A spriggan is a type of underground agent born in the melting pot of diversity that is the Calvard Republic. Spriggans take on any inquiries, acting as detectives, negotiators, or even bounty hunters. They refer requests that the police cannot handle, consult with citizens on matters that cannot be solved, and even take on legitimate requests from criminals and underground forces. For this, they received the apt nickname «jack of all trades».

In 1208 according to the Septian calendar, a wealthy student, dressed in the uniform of a prestigious school, visits an old building located deep in the capital of the Republic. The girl looks at the sign, where Arkride Resolution Office is displayed in simple letters. She clears her throat and then knocks three times. «Surprisingly, we don’t get many calls before noon…» From inside comes the calm voice of a surprisingly young, albeit mature man, and the doorknob begins to slowly turn. So, our story begins.
