Bastide

Bastide — is game set in the thirteenth century AD. The main task of the player is to create his own village and develop it, turning it into a real, prosperous city. It may seem as if the whole world is opposed to the achievement of the gamer’s goal. Hostile settlements attack for resources and prisoners, wild animals do not allow you to calmly cut down trees. Even hunger, cold and enemies will not interfere with the transformation of a simple settlement into a mighty fortress with its own army and developed economy. The game has day and night cycles, as well as seasons. Each period is characterized by its own tasks, dangers and needs of the settlers.

About This Game

Everything starts in the forest. Having extracted wood, you can build the first houses. The larger and safer the buildings, the more resources are needed. Quality management of the peasants and the distribution of responsibilities is an important part of Bastide’s gameplay. The villagers have their own wants and needs. They must be carried out, otherwise no one will want to and will not even be able to follow orders. If someone is hungry, it is worth sending people to hunt or pick berries. You can also grow wheat on your territory. Winter is the most difficult period for which you should prepare in advance. In those days, medicine was not developed well enough, so it is very easy to get sick due to frost. To prevent this from happening, care must be taken that everyone has a warm place to sleep and enough food.
