Azure Striker GUNVOLT 3 — is the third main installment in the action platform game series, released in 2014. The game, designed in a style reminiscent of the iconic Mega Man series, was developed by Inti Creates. The project was supervised by the outstanding Keiji Inafune, who acted as the project’s executive producer. Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 again takes us to a sci-fi world in which the so-called adepts are born — people endowed with superpowers called Septima. After defeating the Eden organization, the protagonist of the series Gunvolt gained even more powerful abilities, because of which he became a target for the Shadow Yakumo organization.

About This Game

The task of stopping his awakening fell to the battle priestess Kirin. Thus begins the joint adventure of the two heroes. The plot here is conveyed mainly through dialogue, so as not to interrupt the dynamic gameplay of the players. In Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, the action takes place from the side. During gameplay, we control both Gunvolt and Kirin, between which you can freely switch. During successive missions, the main characters rush to the right, jump on platforms, avoid numerous traps and obstacles on the ground, and most importantly, fight hordes of enemies. While Gunvolt throws lightning at enemies, Kirin destroys opponents with his katana.

In addition, the heroes have special abilities, the skillful use of which can change the fate of many skirmishes. In addition, Gunvolt can use the so-called Image Pulses, which allow him to call on the battlefield allies and enemies encountered during his previous adventures. The graphic design of Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is designed in a colorful pixel art style. The game takes place to the accompaniment of a dynamic soundtrack. After earning a certain number of so-called «kudos», that is, points awarded for the style of play, the performance of the virtual pop idol Lumen, is activated, whose songs replace the standard music that sounds on each level.
