Makis Adventure

Makis Adventure is fully compatible with both mouse, keyboard and controller. Those of you who like to play on the sofa will feel comfortable. The general gameplay is quite typical for 2D platformers. During the demo, you will guide Macy through the dungeon where he was supposedly locked away. You’ll learn how to move, dodge, and get a taste of early game combat. Not too much of a spoiler, you will unlock weapons and hacks in this demo which includes 2 boss fights. You can also interact with many strange characters. These characters will give you quests, which are currently limited to receiving quests in exchange for progress or in-game currency.

About This Game

The gameplay Makis Adventure feels quite nice. The platforming works quite well and the combat is very enjoyable. Everyone seems to have hitboxes slightly larger than their sprites. While this is very handy for boss fights, I found it particularly difficult to deal with spear-wielding skeleton enemies. The full demo lasts from 30 minutes to 1:00. The full release of the game is planned to include 7-8 hours of content, including player side quests and mini-games. There was one mini-dart game included in the demo version of the game, which was really a nice change of pace. The only thing was with the detection of hits. Especially when trying to navigate the section of the game dedicated to wagons. Although this can also be partly blamed on some rusty platforming skills.
