Pay Back Girls

Hello everyone, we’re The Platypus.

First, a small but important announcement:

Pay Back Girls is now officially available on macOS!

If you’ve been unable to play because you’re on a Mac, you can finally join us.

This is also our first time bringing Pay Back Girls to macOS, so we’d really love to hear feedback from Mac players. Whether you run into a problem—or everything works so smoothly that it feels a little suspicious—please feel free to let us know.

Every bit of feedback helps us make the game better.

And since we’re already here, we thought we’d ramble a little about something else we’ve been working on lately:

Claire’s story.

At first, Claire was meant to be something of an omake character—basically a little bonus addition to the game.

At least, that was the original plan.

Then we actually started discussing her story, and things gradually got out of hand.

The more we talked about Claire, the more we realized there was much more to explore with her than we had expected. One idea led to another, the discussions got longer, the details kept piling up, and before we knew it, we had become much more attached to Claire ourselves than we ever expected.

And then our imaginations started getting a little difficult to control.

So what was originally supposed to be a relatively light additional story has quietly grown into something much larger than we planned.

Meanwhile, the person writing the story has also been steadily losing hair.

Our current goal is to bring Claire’s story to you before the end of this month—preferably before the writer loses the rest of their hair.

During development, we’ve found ourselves becoming unexpectedly fond of Claire.

So when you finally get to see more of her story, we hope you’ll come to love her just as much as we do.

Now, we should probably get back to writing Claire’s story.

Because if we keep dragging this out, someone really is going to go bald.
