Overview

House Builder is a first-person residential construction simulator. The game allows players to experience different parts of the world and construct national architecture there. In Africa, you can build simple huts, in the Arctic — igloos, in Siberia — log cabins, and so on. According to the developers, structures can consist of hundreds of elements, each with its own physical properties. The indie project showcases the entire construction process, from laying the foundation to roofing. For beginners, there are hints. The lighting system indicates which materials are needed for a specific construction stage. As players progress, they earn currency, necessary for accessing new stages and purchasing decorative items.

House Builder provides gamers with the opportunity to become foremen. Here, players manually lay bricks, install roof tiles, drive nails, and so on. However, the character performs these actions faster than real-life workers. Construction materials need to be prepared manually, such as chopping down trees, sawing logs into boards, cutting ice blocks, and so forth. There is a semblance of a campaign. Each level in it involves carrying out construction work in one part of the world. The protagonist is allowed to be upgraded. However, the game has a linear gameplay, and there is no free skill progression. Usually, only those skills necessary for completing the current task are allowed to be improved.
