Hexguardian

Hexguardian combines elements of the roguelike and tower defense genres. A unique feature is the ability to create your own maps using hexagonal tiles, which opens up space for strategic planning and creativity. The gameplay is built around defending the kingdom from waves of enemies attacking from land, sea and air. To repel attacks, the player must build a variety of defensive structures, such as towers that shoot arrows, bombs, fire and ice. Proper placement of towers on the map, taking into account the terrain and environment, is the key to successful defense.

In addition to towers, the player has the opportunity to recruit armies of various units, such as swordsmen and archers. Each type of troops has its own strengths and weaknesses, which requires a thoughtful approach to army formation. The player can also learn powerful spells that can slow down and damage enemies, adding elements of magic to the game and diversifying tactical options. An interesting mechanic in Hexguardian is the effect the environment has on gameplay. For example, building towers on high ground increases their attack range, and controlling the weather allows you to slow down or damage enemies.

The player can also build support buildings such as markets and windmills to gain additional resources to purchase upgrades and new guns. As for game modes, there are two of them: standard and «challenge». In Standard mode, the player gains access to an extensive technology tree, allowing the player to unlock new towers, units, upgrades, and wonders. Progress in the game also unlocks new maps and difficulty settings. But the challenge mode changes every week and offers players unique challenges with limited resources and competition on a global leaderboard.
