Codename Ocean Keeper plunges gamers into the role of space pirates on a mysterious underwater planet. This roguelike survival game is all about exploration, mining, and fighting waves of enemies — all while unraveling the planet’s mysterious secrets. Inspired by games like Dome Keeper and Vampire Survivors, Ocean Keeper takes players on a deep-sea adventure with a dash of cosmic intrigue. The developers cite StarCraft, Stormgate and Project Entropy as atmospheric influences, hinting at a mixture of exploration, resource management and intense combat. Impressive isometric graphics set the scene for this underwater odyssey.

The core gameplay of Codename Ocean Keeper revolves around three different loops: exploration, resource extraction, and combat. Players control a crab-like mech that scours the ocean floor in search of valuable resources. Think of it as a scavenger hunt on the high seas — only much deeper. Once a promising treasure trove is discovered, the mech transforms into a drilling machine and descends into the abyss to extract crystals and artifacts. This is where things get interesting: the deeper you go, the more valuable and potentially volatile the resources become. Blue, yellow and green crystals provide unique benefits, and hidden cameras promise relics with unknown properties.
