Game trailer: Renaissance Kingdom Wars
Screenshots
Description
Renaissance Kingdom Wars combines elements of the grand strategy and real-time strategy genres to offer a unique take on medieval warfare. Players begin a campaign spanning continents as a humble mercenary captain in 1510, when the world is on the brink of global change. Feudalism is a thing of the past, gunpowder has been discovered, and the discovery of America is not far off. The game places an emphasis on player autonomy, allowing players to choose the allegiance of a dozen characters in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. As their influence grows, gamers can build and manage their own cities, raise armies, and engage in dynamic real-time battles.
In addition to traditional nation-building, Renaissance Kingdom Wars features a unique loyalty system. Players navigate complex political landscapes, balancing service to their liege lord and personal ambitions. Strategic decision-making extends to siege warfare, where players directly command troops and witness the brutality of medieval battles first-hand. While specifics and content are subject to change, this title offers a promising combination of strategic depth and fast-paced action set against a richly detailed Renaissance backdrop in all its beauty and complexity.
