The Stone Of Madness

The Stone of Madness is set in an 18th-century Spanish monastery. Players take control of five prisoners, each with unique skills and personal traumas, and they must overcome the challenges associated with escaping this eerie place. The game combines stealth, strategy, and survival through real-time mechanics, requiring players to manage not only physical threats but also the mental state of the characters. Characters must balance the need to explore, collect resources, and uncover the secrets of the monastery, while facing their fears and phobias.

In The Stone of Madness, time is of the essence. The title offers two different campaigns, each with different storylines, goals, and objectives. The monastery’s security changes throughout the day, and players must adjust their approach accordingly. During the day, the guards are less vigilant, making this time favorable for stealing and collecting items. However, as night falls, supernatural elements enter the monastery, raising the stakes. The changing environment creates constant tension that requires careful planning and precise execution. Managing the mental health of the prisoners is a key aspect of the gameplay. Each character’s phobias and traumas affect their behavior, and if left unchecked, they can suffer from paranoia, hallucinations, or even violent outbursts.
