Description
Perfect Tides Station to Station is a pixelated narrative adventure that continues the story of its predecessor and explores the process of growing up. The story centers on an 18 year old girl named Mara, who makes a dramatic decision to leave her cozy island home to attend college in a metropolitan city. This step becomes her first serious experience of independent living and the starting point for a journey of self-discovery. She will face the numerous challenges of adulthood while pursuing her ultimate dream: becoming a successful writer and gaining independence.
Exploring over 60 detailed locations takes place in a non-linear format, and the story's development is directly dependent on the decisions you make. The narrative in Perfect Tides: Station to Station spans an entire year in the heroine's life, divided into seasonal acts. The game departs from the traditional inventory system in favor of a unique conversation topic mechanic. Developing Mara's writing style will require the player to engage in a number of actions:
- making new friends and potential romantic partners. Synthesize life experiences into thoughtful essays for class.
- Use collected topics as currency to form dialogue threads.
- Travel between locations using public transportation.
