Description
Synthesis of Corruption is an action-packed indie FPS-horror hybrid developed by VidyGames that combines shooting mechanics with a tense survival horror atmosphere. The game features low-poly graphics, intentionally styled after titles from the late 90s, creating a retro aesthetic that enhances the sci-fi horror atmosphere. The game takes place in Modern City, the capital of the Continent. You play as a research assistant who arrives late for work at the secret Nexus Tower laboratory and discovers that the Synthesis experiment has gone catastrophically wrong.
During the experiment, scientists attempted to isolate and manipulate particles of dark energy called Re.Surs, but instead unleashed a corruption that threatens all life on the Continent. As the sole survivor of the facility, you must explore the complex and contain the uncontrollable anomaly. The game expands on the lore of the Re.Surs universe, set chronologically between Snowsquall Grip and Re.Surs, followed by Plastomorphosis. Players will experience first-person combat and survival elements in a setting where human ambition collides with primal horror. The narrative is part of a larger story about dark energy phenomena affecting the entire continent, providing context for fans of this interconnected series.
