Description
Super Meat Boy 3D is an uncompromising test of reflexes, transferring the classic formula of masterful obstacle course control into a three-dimensional space. The slightest misstep when encountering circular saws, industrial shredders, or blazing forests guarantees the protagonist's immediate death. The lack of a health bar is compensated for by an instant respawn at the start of each level, turning the process into a continuous cycle of trial and error. The finale of each successfully completed stage is a spectacular display of all attempts simultaneously, clearly illustrating the scale of the effort expended.
The shift in perspective in Super Meat Boy 3D necessitated a significant expansion of the crimson, cubic hero's arsenal of moves. Survival now requires masterfully combining sliding on vertical surfaces with horizontal wall sprinting, avoiding cunning traps. Performing a mid-air dash allows you to cross huge chasms and destroy fragile platforms mid-flight. A precisely calibrated camera helps calculate the trajectory of jumps through collapsing caves with the utmost precision.
The main motivation for Meat Guy's endless suffering is the rescue of Bandage Girl. His beloved has been kidnapped by the sinister Doctor Fetus, dressed in an elegant tuxedo and dwelling inside a glass jar. In addition to battles with powerful bosses, perfectionists will have to search for carefully hidden collectible bandages. The Dark World, offering extremely difficult variations of basic levels that require perfect timing, becomes a true nightmare for gamers.
