Description

Surviving Mars Green Planet — make Mars habitable and build a second home for mankind in addition to Green Planet. Terraform Mars and make a hostile planet habitable by humanity. Every decision you make while managing your colony can affect terraforming parameters, which include atmosphere, temperature, water, and vegetation.

Plant various lichens, grass, bushes or trees on the surface of Mars. Low-maintenance plants, such as lichens, can improve soil quality by helping plants grow more complex, while trees produce high seed yield. Be sure to monitor the quality of the soil to keep your plants healthy and growing.

About This Game

Take seven challenging special projects, such as melting polar caps, capturing ice asteroids, launching a space mirror, and more. Build seven new buildings that can help you terraform the planet or benefit from the changes. Use a greenhouse gas plant to release greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, a tree plant to increase vegetation production, a water pump to fill the bottom of the lake, and more.

Terraforming the planet may have unexpected consequences. If you release too much greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, you can cause acid rain, which reduces the quality of the soil, or if the asteroid crashes into the planet, it will cause Marshake, which can disrupt the production of your colony.

Installation Guide

Step-by-step setup process for CODEX

Open the .iso with a virtual drive program (e.g. Daemon Tools) — on Windows 10/11 a double click mounts it on its own.
Install the game by running setup.exe and following the wizard.
After installation, copy the entire contents of the CODEX folder from the disc into the game folder and agree to replace the files.
Start the game through its usual shortcut, preferably as administrator.

Having trouble launching the game?

Check these common causes before troubleshooting further.

The steam_api64.dll and other files from the CODEX folder are the heart of the release — if your antivirus removes them, restore them from quarantine and exclude the game folder.
CODEX releases run fully offline. For safety, block the game .exe in your firewall so it never tries to reach Steam.
Errors about missing d3dx9_43.dll or MSVCP140.dll mean the runtimes were skipped — install everything from the disc's Redist or _CommonRedist folder.
