The Caribou Trail

The Caribou Trail is a first-person narrative game set during the brutal Gallipoli Campaign of 1915. In it, you follow the fate of Fisher and his Newfoundland friends, who naively enlisted in the army hoping for a short adventure, only to face the grueling horror of trench warfare instead. You'll face desperate challenges: sneaking through barbed wire in no man's land, taking out snipers, and surviving the chaos of evacuation. However, the focus isn't on military glory, but on endurance and those humble human moments that arise between battles. Between missions, you'll learn about camp life, share scary stories around the campfire, collect dog tags from fallen comrades, and bond with your comrades: Gordon, a lovable jokester Lonnie, a dreamy guy who doesn't know what to do with himself and Fisher himself, whose perspective you shape through your choices.

The game blends historical accounts with folklore and psychological horror, as the line between reality and superstition blurs in the darkness of the trenches. There are no scores or body counts only the weight of impossible choices and the fragile bonds forged between ordinary people (fishermen and dreamers) trying to remain human in inhumane conditions. With semi stylized graphics inspired by archival photographs and a haunting soundtrack, the game captures the rarely explored frontlines of World War I through visceral exploration and quiet rituals that become lifelines. Developed by Unreliable Narrators and Manavoid Entertainment, the game is fundamentally about resilience, fleeting friendships, and clinging to hope when war threatens to take everything. Every gesture whether it's pulling a trigger or sharing a meal defines your connection with those who laugh next to you and fall down before you.
